To help understand how to best put these items to use, we've asked a makeup artist for her go-to simple eye makeup ideas for you to copy (and quick).

"Eye makeup can definitely be done by makeup newbies," says Ashley Victoria, a New York City-based makeup artist. This means that yes, your eyes can look professionally done-up by using just one all-star product and just one step—it doesn't have to take all morning and all of your makeup brushes to nail a look. Eyeliner: Nyx Professional Makeup Vinyl Liquid Eyeliner, $7

Victoria says that liquid eyeliner is your best bet for eye definition if liner is your thing. "In my opinion, it's better to use a liquid liner to map out your lines. You can always clean it up with a Q-tip afterwards to make it look perfect," she says. "The best thing you can do for your lashes is curl them," says Victoria who's a fan of this one by Kevyn Aucoin. In a matter of seconds, a curler will give open up your eyes and give you fluttery, defined eyelashes that last.

Bold lashes: Diorshow Iconic Mascara, $30

Another super simple hack? Swipe on a colorful mascara. "If you're looking for some fun lashes, Dior has a nice blue mascara that can make any look more fun," says Victoria. This one will curl and lengthen your lashes while giving your eyes a pop of blue to switch things up.

Eyeshadow: Kosas 10-Second Eyeshadow, $28

Eyeshadow can be one easy step, too—especially if you go with a liquid eyeshadow option. "You can put an all-over lid color or just a pop of color on your lower lash line," says Victoria. Try this with the Kosas liquid shadows, which deliver gorgeous, vibrant pigment in all different hues.
